About Our Program

South Sound Flag Football League (SSFFL) provides young athletes with an exciting introduction to football in a safe, non-contact environment. Our program serves multiple age divisions with experienced coaches who focus on teaching fundamental skills while keeping the experience fun and engaging for all participants. We welcome players of all skill levels and work to create balanced teams that promote fair competition and positive development throughout our community.

Our Philosophy

At South Sound Flag Football League, we believe youth sports should teach life lessons alongside athletic skills. Through football, we help young players develop respect, discipline, and integrity while building confidence and lasting friendships. Our goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where every child can succeed and families feel welcomed as part of our community.

Before You Register

• Check Date and times: Review the schedule to ensure it fits with you and your family's schedule. 

• Order Equipment: You can order your child's jersey and flag set during registration, where there will also be an opportunity to order additional equipment and accessories your child/player.

Registration

Online registration makes joining our league quick and convenient through our dedicated registration portal. Simply complete the required information and secure your child's spot in the program. We strongly recommend early registration since our league has limited capacity and spots fill rapidly.

Team Assignment and Rosters

• Creating Teams: After registration ends, we put together balanced teams based on age level. 

• Getting Your Team Info: We'll email you your child's team assignment and roster before the season starts. You'll get your coach's name and meet your teammates. 

Equipment Distribution

• Picking Up Gear: Your child will get a jersey, flags, and other equipment based on their age group. We'll tell you when and where to pick everything up.

• What To Bring: Your child needs their own water bottle and appropriate footwear.

Season Schedule Confirmation

• Getting Your Schedule: Once teams are set, you'll get a complete schedule showing all practices, games, times, and locations.

• Special Events: We'll also include fun extras like team pictures, family days, and tournaments on your schedule.

Season Updates

• Regular Updates: We send emails with schedule changes, reminders, and league news. We will also update our website regularly with important information. 

• Weather Updates: If bad weather cancels games or practices, we'll let you know as soon as possible through email and our website. 

Coach Communication

• Meeting Your Coach: Your coach will contact you after teams are announced to introduce themselves and share practice details. This is a great time to ask any questions. 

• Ongoing Communication: Your coach will keep in touch throughout the season about your child's progress and team activities. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions.
